New 2015 3500 Aisin, Auto Level Rear Air First Impressions

The rear air suspension system is a definite improvement over my 13'. Will be towing with it off road on the ranch next week.

2500 vs 3500 is it worth going to 3500

I've never had any problems insuring mine either. If I'm going to spend this kind of money on a vehicle, I want the most capability I can get. The Aisin 3500 4x4 costs a little more but the difference amortized over 5-7 years for most folks is manageable and delivers a lot of operational...

Towing with 3500 srw cc 4x4 long box 3.42

I was surprised too when the system accepted the 3:73s' (DME). My understanding was the SRW trucks couldn't be ordered with 3:73s. You guys may be right the dealer order system might kick it back later. Next time I'm at the dealer I'll ask if they have any 2015 SRW 3:73 orders in the pipeline.

Towing with 3500 srw cc 4x4 long box 3.42

We set up the 2015 3500 SRW Aisin build order with 3:73s' with the new option code DME. The system accepted the gear option. Later, we decided to cancel the DME option and let it default to the standard 3:42 gears.

Towing with 3500 srw cc 4x4 long box 3.42

When I ordered my 2015 3500 4x4 SRW two weeks ago, we noticed the dealer build site now offers 3:73 gears for the SRW trucks in addition to the 4:10 option and the 3:42 standard gear sets. Agree with Horseman the Aisin with either the 3:42, 3:73 or 4:10s' may be a better alternative for you. I...

    Transmission Temp Question

Interesting, from your simulation the lower ratio may explain my slightly higher trans temp. Probably the axle not the transmission is throwing off a few more degrees of heat. If there is a difference it's not enough for me to trade the highway fuel economy and lower rpm of the 3:42s' for 3:73s'...

    Transmission Temp Question

Thanks TransEngineer. Your explanations are always a great source of information. In 2013, I moved to the Aisin on my RAM 3500 which I work pretty hard off road in 4x4 low. I notice the Aisin runs a little warmer than the 68 rfes' did but it feels stronger even with 3:42 gears. In Arizona...

2015 Dodge Ram Advice 2500 vs 3500 and difference from 2014

Ken, thought I'd give the RASS a real work out on my off road "ranch trails". I rode in a neighbors one ton ranch truck retrofitted with aftermarket air bags. Big improvement in ride and with trailers behind. Hope RAM can deliver the same in both on and off road conditions. My understanding is...

2015 Dodge Ram Advice 2500 vs 3500 and difference from 2014

I just ordered a fully optioned 2015 Big Horn 3500 4x4 3:42 Aisin with RASS. After notifying Customer Assistance (VOTS), I received the VIN the following day. No telling when it will show up.

Souce for new style PDC Fuses available

I am Mangas on the other RAM site who did the initial research on trying to find these fuses. My understanding is they are easier to find now. It really caused me a lot of grief when I took delivery on my 13' and couldn't use my trailers. Thanks for the heads up.
