Souce for new style PDC Fuses available

As well as Electrical Depot that has the MCASE fuses (Not JCASE which look the same). Shipping is kind of steep for 5 packs of fuses, but they have a ton of other electrical supplies that justify the shipping a little better.

Good find....rumor had it that Geno's Garage was working on a multi-style fuse assortment for the '13 & up RAM pickups.

I got tired of waiting. Been running on a blown fuse on my 14 for quite some time now (trailer park lights), and decided to get an assortment - that I should have had since Day 1.

Plus my work has a variety of newer trucks (Ford and GM) that are running the micro fuses, so I doubled up between Amazon and Electrical Depot.

I bought this kit form Amazon that Sticks found above, and I can positively confirm that it has every fuse on our truck with the exception of the JCASE mini fuses. This kit has every fuse in my 2013 PDC. The JCASE Mini fuses are available most every where but I added a few to the kit the 60 40 and 30 amp ratings to cover all the fuses in my PDC. Pictures of the fuse that DOES NOT come in this kit below. It's the large one in the pictures, the smaller one in the picture is the one that comes in the Kit from Amazon above. Ken Irwin

It's those FMM / Mcase fuses that you can't find at your local auto parts stores yet. I don't even think I have seen any of the micro blade fuses either.

Is that one a triple blade, in the picture? What a way to expand the cost of fuses, it fits two circuits.

The ATL fuses are double fuses, but if either blows you would still need to replace it! Not sure that is an advantage as they are not very popular. Ken Irwin

The triple blade is a GM thing IIRC.

I just got my Amazon and Electrical Depot order yesterday. The Electrical Depot MCASE fuses are a little taller but the width looks right. I'll test fit one today.

I am Mangas on the other RAM site who did the initial research on trying to find these fuses.

My understanding is they are easier to find now. It really caused me a lot of grief when I took delivery on my 13' and couldn't use my trailers.

I remember that.....those fuses were difficult to source for sure!!!

Engineers love to change things.

Ok with me as long as the parts are in the supply chain!

Specially designed for that application all in the name of saving space, and in a few years, we are going to see even more reductions in fuse size and configurations. Insult to injury, no way to check to see if a JCASE fuse is blown except pull it out and use an ohm meter - to whit you need some needle nose pliers or hemostats. Personally I would rather see resettable breakers in place of the fuses.

A testament as to how much thought went into the PDC - I don't know what order they chose to put the fuses in, but I need some sort of CODEC to figure it out. Seems oddly random.

I suspect that shortly they will all be international pictogram/icons to identify the fuses, not actual "words" (already that way in heavy equipment). Welcome back to the stone age.
