Do you draw your fuel out of the tank via a suction tube or a draw straw or the stock sending unit?? If it is a draw straw then you might have experianced the 1/4 tank issue. When the suction tube is drawing air because the fuel is so low that it sloshes to the other side of the tank.

On the FASS system you have, You can actually go down to a 3 micron fuel filter. I wouldn't recommend it for running WVO but for everything else it should be fine.
