    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Best chip/programmer for economy?

I am looking for a gift for a friend and was curious what everyone's experience is with chips and programmers has gotten them in the way of economy. I'm not trying to start an argument... more of a poll. Thanks so much guys and gals!

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission HVAC fan

I would think it was the switch or a relay if it works sometimes. Does it work in some positions and not others or some positions some days? Otherwise, the fan would be making noise (bearings) or not work at all. It really sounds like a relay problem to me but maybe someone has had...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 6-spd. 3rd gear grinding

dunno Probably no effect or negative depending on the amount. 4500s do not have the clutchpack style synchros of the 5600s. The additive seems to allow the synchro to engage more smoothly. I say no effect because there really is nothing that has slipping-style engagement in a 4500. I...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 6-spd. 3rd gear grinding

Yep just change the oil first... Yep, changing the oil is the best place to start. Use the Royal Purple or whatever other kind of oil that is SPECIFIC to the NV5600(6 speed). NOT for the NV4500(5 speed)! I've read the posts on the LSD additive and thought there were mixed results but it didn't...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) water for fuel?

Overstating and misleading info... The idea is that you put water in a jar with two electrodes that are wired to the car's electrical system. Then, as dc current is passed thru the water, the H2O molecule breaks it's bond and creates H2 and 02 which is in the form of a gas and that is plumbed...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission keyless entry

Not all are shipped with keyless entry. Have a dealer pull the build sheet for your truck by taking the vin to the service department and asking them to get it. It may take a day or two. If it didn't come with keyless entry, you can buy the kit and harness and install it yourself... I did it and...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Air Condition - What causes it to

Low refrigerant. To check if the pressure is low; Start the engine and set the A/C to Max and the blower to high. If you hear the A/C cluch engage and disengage often within the first 5 min, the refrigerant is low. If this is the first problem you've had with the A/C, you can...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Emergency Brake Adjustment

Jack up the rear end and spin one of the tires... if they both spin in the same direction, you have LS... if they spin opposite, you have an open diff. They made the Dana 80 in both LS and open diff.

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Need a tweater for my d.side a-pillar

Be sure to get the right tweeter... You could probably call one(stereo shop) or find a stereo place online. Just be sure to tell them what it's for and have the old tweeter on hand when you call. I'm pretty sure the Mopar tweeter is 2ohm and most aftermarket tweeters are 4ohm. If you install a...
