    James, I'll try those exact settings tommorow and let you know. I have the torque management set to 4 or minimum management now. I think the setting for maximum timing is #2. You say you have about a 1 second pause - I have about a 4-5 second pause.

    Its not a stupid question, in fact I think you the third person who asked me that. Yes, it is starting out in first - I counted the shifts to make sure myself. I've also tried starting out with the shifter in 1st and manually shifting - same thing.

    Yeah, counted the shifts, I'm in 1st. Without a rail gauge I have no way of knowing whats going on pressure wise, but would a bad relief valve do this? Maybe loss of pressure until RPMs are up high enough to make enough fuel pressure. Can a reliefe valve bleed pressure a little bit? Or is it...

    No, I don't have any FP gauge. But I wll agree it feels like its starving, but if that were the case, would I still see the massive amount of black smoke?

    I gave it a shot over lunch... no change. The truck just won't develop power until after its making about 8lbs of boost or so. Could it be a bad sensor without throwing any codes?

    TWest, I'll give it a shot tonight. I have heard of doing this before except for the whole door open when disconnecting the batteries part - I'm guessing this is to let the dome light draw any residual power??

    My friend's stock '06 will spin the tires lightly from a dead stop when you just mash the pedal --- that was all I really wanted. Like I said earlier, I'm not looking to shred the tires from every stoplight. Shouldn't this motor make enough power to do that before making boost? -Like the stock '06??

    No, transmission works great. Truck accelerates fine with stock software. Maybe I din't explain my frustration correctly... At an intersection from a dead stop with stock software, if I mash the go pedal the truck grunts and takes off... with any of the Smarty software loaded it won't do that...

    OK, I just got my Performax guages, and started laying everthing out. I can't find a good place under the hood to mount the ECM. Should I mount it instide under the dash? I know some of you are running them in your 3rd gen, Where did you mount it?? :confused:

    I need help selecting a new turbo

    Its not that I only want 400hp, its that I want the truck to stay driveable. My understanding is that once you start to get to around 500hp on these trucks that the everyday drivabilty starts to go down - it becomes more hotrod than daily driver. Thats what I want to avoid.
