Motorhead, I did just get rid of the stock trans, and yes this torque converter is definitely tighter - the issue is that with the stock software reinstalled (no Smarty) the truck takes off from a dead stop faster than it does with the Smarty software installed. Even with the stock trans I could never spin tires from a stop, but I belive even with the tighter torque converter the Smarty should let the engine produce enough power to accelerate quickly from a dead stop - not fall on its face and lug its way through an intersection.
I could be wrong, but from what I've read on these forums breaking the tires loose from a dead start should be no sweat with this setup.

My only other advice would to call Bob Wagner or go to the MADS site and email them. My '07 is a stick but my '01. 5 that I had had a built DTT trans in it. I had DDII's and an EDGE ez on it with the HX35 turbo. I couldn't burn the tires unless I built up boost first. It DID have better off the line power than with stock programing and injectors. Wierd issue you are having. I DO run a Smarty jr on my '07, 6spd stick and it deffinately accelerates much better off of idle than with out. I run 40hp setting, Torque on 4 and timing on 4. One thing that was confusing to me was how they describe the torque settings and timing settings. Why not 1 is the least and 4 is the most.

FORGIVE a stupid question..... Are you sure the trans is starting out in first??

Its not a stupid question, in fact I think you the third person who asked me that.
Yes, it is starting out in first - I counted the shifts to make sure myself. I've also tried starting out with the shifter in 1st and manually shifting - same thing.

I don't think the LV is the Problem its possible the Pressure sensor is?. . I have a test sensor that I could mail you if you like.

Well I'll just throw this out there, Fuel Filter? It's hard to say without a FP gauge.

I don't do boosted launches myself, to hard on stuff. I find if you set the torque management to 'mild' it seems to help launching from idle. I have only ever run with 'maximum' timing settings (#4 on revo I think) so I cant comment on other timing settings. But on mild TM, timing #4, pressure stock, and power level #7 (130hp) mine has about a 1 second pause then she goes. I have a stage 5 ATS transmission with a tight TC.

I know they say the TM helps the low end, and it does if you are rolling, but in my truck from idle, 'mild' TM seems more responsive.

James

James, I'll try those exact settings tommorow and let you know. I have the torque management set to 4 or minimum management now. I think the setting for maximum timing is #2. You say you have about a 1 second pause - I have about a 4-5 second pause.

Hey James, surprisingly, that helped alot. I now have about a 1-2 second pause instead of the 4-5 second pause before. Still not as aggressive as a bone stock 06, but much better. By the way, you were right on the Revo timing #4 is max timing... on the RevoTNT timing #2 is max timing.
It seems a little strange that adding back more torque management actually improves take off, but it did. The funny thing is I had tried many different levels and settings including leaving everythin set for default, and somehow never tried adding back any TM.
Now to knock off the remaining second...
