    Portable Saw Mill

I've had one visit my place a few times. Lt 70 if I am not mistaken. Max. log diameter is about 30" and you will be turning them a lot to get them broke down. Big logs were quartered with a big chain saw and put on the mill with my log loader. Farm tractor in your case with a loader would be...

    Dodge heavy hauler!

First off that load is way heavy....and none of my loads go anywhere without corner boards. Hay hauling 101.

Hub centered rims and NON-hub centered rims

The listed hub diameters are actually the bolt circle diameters.....which is the reason they do not interchange. Not withstanding the center hole possible difference. BTW add me to the list of aftermarket wheels guys without spacer rings not having any problems. Spacer rings are a token effort...

    NO 4 Wheel Drive

One of my dynalocs is reluctant to lock in at times.....the clunk is the dead give away that one of the hubs is not locked in. My procedure when the one doesn't go right in is to rock the rig back and forth after I put it in 4x, of course after both hubs are locked. Worst thing in my case is to...

    Windshield wipers erratic behavior

At least in my case it was the multi-function switch. Took it apart and cleaned it up and greased with di-electric grease. No problems since.

New Clutch, Flywheel and Clutch Slave Cylinder

When the dealer turns this one over to Dodge after the repair I think there is going to be a problem..... rare to see a clutch covered under warranty.

    Kubota GR2120

Just bought one. . with the bagger. The idler pulley on the belt for the bagger is a joke and the engagement of the mower is pretty rough... . both things should be better for the money. btw my unit with the 54" deck and bagger was under 10k. . by one dollar. cash price saves you about 300 from...

    Fuel Filter Retrofit possible?

Although it sounds like a pain in the rear... . take a look at doing the fuel filter change after removing the driver's side battery... . make sure you isolate the positive lead if you leave the passenger side positive hooked up... . which keeps things powered up like your radio pre-sets.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) That's it, I'm done.

Must of not been on this site... . maybe cummins forum. Full timer with a 2wd 3rd gen found a shop that had done quite a few transfer case additons using the stock 4x4 arrangement. Reportedly worked really well for him and he used it whenever the going was tough or slow. If I remember correctly...

Why you don't want to go to the Dealership

The outfit I work seasonal for has their own log trucks..... two of the fleet with cat/dpf setups..... first one is already traded in... . we are talking about new trucks here!! second one is only waiting for the new one to be built... . going cummins with scr this time... yeh I know they will...

Why you don't want to go to the Dealership

As to Cat hydraulic cylinders..... and warranty... . customer complaint would be excessive noise with cylinder travel on 330 and 325 foresty machines. I've been in the seat (operator) for somebody else when this went on..... local cat dealer chased pin and bushings to no end... . still noisy...

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Prairie Rats?

You get my vote Mr. Big... . still looking into Oregon law for something to back up what the game cop told ata..... nothing even close yet. Imagine that.

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Prairie Rats?

Now that is an interesting tale... . that I will be checking into. I might be wrong, but I am not thinking this one is going to hold any water, or any other liquid.

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Prairie Rats?

First off... . spent a lot of time at sandlake 4 wheelin when I was a lot younger... . middle of nowhere, making you a "city slicker" only if you are some sort of import. I haven't touched a drop for coming up on 18 years now, but I still shoot. The question sir is what law were says you can't...

Thinking about a DRW vs SRW

Though it is not listed in my signature, I have owned dually's for just about 30 years. You better have four wheel drive if you go off-road at all, and even on-road they do not get around near as good as a srw if there is any ice or snow involved. Mud is a whole another matter, they perform...

Coupling a fifth wheel with short bed lifted 1500

Question ... . My little gooseneck has 7k axles..... at 14. 6k on your trailer axles..... does yours have 8k axles?? PJ put the trailer axles further forward on my single tire trailer than my tandem dual trailer... exactly backwards of what they should of done..... the single tire trailer goes...

Coupling a fifth wheel with short bed lifted 1500

The weight rating system for tires... . is pretty simple... . casing width... rim size... ply rating... and inflation pressure... equals weight carrying capacity. No respect is given for actual materials used. Stiff sidewalls rule when you are maxed out for stability. Talk to a truck tire...
