Had the rising oil problem on my 2007. 5. Oil analysis confirmed that there was "excessive" fuel in oil (i. e. greater than 2%). Dodge has said that up to 5% is acceptable (redefined excessive). I fixed the problem on my 2009, I don't check the oil any more. :)

I have the same problem with mine. I've been able to use very rigid tubing and push and twist it past the obstruction, but it is difficult. It seems like that dipstick necks down just where it enters the block. Very frustrating.

There is absolutely no truth in this statement. All 6. 7L Dodge Cummins are "bluetec" diesel. BlueTec is the trademark name for the DPF regeneration technology. Dodge was a bit haphazard on where or even if they applied the bluetec badge.
