Maybe the "GREEN" topic needs it's owne thread, but that's a viable story about the Volkswagon TDI. My story is about a Dodge 4X4 extended with a 318 that got 8 MPG with my 20' box trailer empty, then I bought my Diesel and get 15MPG with 10,000 lbs in that trailer... . that's alot of fuel...
One paragraph story of how you use your Diesel to promote green environmentally friendly topics. Maybe you haul recyclable materials, switched your fleet from gas to Diesel or perhaps you work for an environmental agency and you drive a diesel. Who knows what ideas or stories are out there?

So whats the average cost of parts? If its a couple hundred then might as well get a full rebuilt one, save the hassle of pulling mine apart right? I guess I'm hoping to find someone with some pics, diagrams and places to get parts. I have googled the hell outta nv271 rebuild.
Can anyone give some insite on how to rebuild the NV271, what to look for and where to get parts for them? I have an 05 2500 and when I put it into 4 wheel drive with light acceloration, it seems fine, as soon as I give it some moderate throttle it starts shaking like the chain is so loose that...

Wow, after a mess like that I am surprised you can afford a computer. I can't imagine the cost behind getting that thing over to one of the sides, and then to repair the bridge, fines etc..... that so sucks!
