So whats the average cost of parts? If its a couple hundred then might as well get a full rebuilt one, save the hassle of pulling mine apart right? I guess I'm hoping to find someone with some pics, diagrams and places to get parts. I have googled the hell outta nv271 rebuild.

Can anyone give some insite on how to rebuild the NV271, what to look for and where to get parts for them? I have an 05 2500 and when I put it into 4 wheel drive with light acceloration, it seems fine, as soon as I give it some moderate throttle it starts shaking like the chain is so loose that...

Ouch Wow, after a mess like that I am surprised you can afford a computer. I can't imagine the cost behind getting that thing over to one of the sides, and then to repair the bridge, fines etc..... that so sucks!
