I had had it with the fluctuating tach problem that many other 06 owners have experienced. Dodge says tough luck-out of warranty and they don't agree that it is their problem no matter how many out there are expeiencing it. So what is the verdict on BullyDog, Quadzilla, or other digital monitor...

Had it scanned while driving and confirmed fuel pressure drop, went ahead and changed fuel filter and bingo all is good again. Must have happened when I ran tank down real low on trip from coast.

Turns out it is a PO148 fuel delivery code - looks like lift pump - fuel filter was changed 6K ago but going to change tomorrow to be sure then it is going to dealer Monday am since it is still under the 100K warranty

CEL went on today driving home in my 06 2500 qc auto with 77K, stock. Changed AF Cummins yesterday and drove fine for 60 miles then tried to stick foot in it to blow some smoke and truck would not rev cleanly or above 2K, tried again and still not revving and CEL went on. Runs fine just no rev...

Excellent trip, 21 mpg, 2,900 miles through TX, AR, MO, IL, IN, OH, KY, TN and not one downshift while on cruise control, damn I love this diesel power, wish I had gotten one a long time ago. Only thing I need now is a comfortable drivers seat - any suggestions?

Good luck - after talking to multiple dealers unless you are under a warranty you don't have a chance of getting it resolved other than with your own dime. Funny thing is none of the dealers I talked to acknowledged even hearing of this problem.

Had new serp. belt installed and kept old one as spare-have read good to have the non-ac belt in an emergency in case AC locks up.

Has anyone used the Bullydog Watchdog Performance Monitor as anternative to traditional gauges? Were you happy with the choice? 2006 Dodge Quad Cab LB auto 5. 9 Cummins 2wd Stock except for Genos muffler delete pipe and Eliminator pipe, and K&N filter

Need source for the updated hose and clamps - Lone Star Dodge in SA,TX want $16 for just hose and they say don't worry about the clamps but I want to do it right.

Just bought first diesel 2006 quad cab LB auto and have experienced fluctuating tach readings with no corresponding actual engine speed changes including idle readings of between 400 and 700 rpms - no codes being read.
