Ok so unplug just the sensor wire where it goes into ecu one at a time?not the 5 volt supply.

So I unhooked battery and recalibrated the apps 5 times and still getting the same etc p0341. I can predict when its going to happen. Ill get going up to 40mph let's say and left and push the go peddle lightly and walah. Im pulling a camper this weekend, guess we'll see what happens.

From what I've gathered there are notches on the back of the camshaft gear that the sensor picks up when it spins, if I had a scope id put it in through where the sensor mounts to investigate if any damage or build-up of some sort, doubtfull there is. But they are expensive.

Reset the apps. Went through the procedure and cleared codes before started it up. Off the bat thing runs like its supposed to accelerates and transmission shifts smoothly. Will keep you all updated.

Pulled the wiring harness and unwrapped to expose wiring..... nothing obvious. Rewrapped it and put it back on the truck. No other codes, just p0341... ... Also checked ohms and things checked out. New ecu????? Somethhing wrong with cam? I need to figure this out. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Spoke too soon... . next morning started up fine and before I made it out the driveway back to the beastly diesel noise and lack of power. No codes when I checked it.

Yes. While I had the cp3 out I unwrapped the wires, and cleaned the diesel residue from the pesky cp3 off the wires. If there was portion of wire that had break in the outer coating, would taping that portion of wire and putting loom over it be sufficient? All three mechanics say that the plug...

Yep did that and its always the camshaft position sensor code. Something that I've seen I. Some forums is they are getting these codes when their lift pumps are bad. im ordering a new one and see if it changes anything..... perhaps maybe starved my cp3 and caused it to fail. Not sure why none of...
