    DTC code P0234 Turbo overboost

you can clear it with smarty, but it was prolly set for a reason... i would keep an eye on it. if the code comes back its time for some diagnostics. i'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in with potential reasons that the code was set in the first place. perhaps the wastegate is...

Will the Cat 2um filter clog in cold temps?

Your connector seal must have been leaking a little water and making contact. At least you know the light works.

Will the Cat 2um filter clog in cold temps?

Ouch, another one bites the dust, or the dust bit it in this case. Again, it makes me wonder if contaminates introduced during install caused it, or improper filtration allowed water and particles in over time. I changed my Mopar filter out to a Baldwin PF7977 yesterday. No visible water...

Will the Cat 2um filter clog in cold temps?

The more I think about it, the more I want to just leave it alone and run a Baldwin PF7977 in the stock canister. I have done alot of searching and reading of some amazingly contentious threads regarding filtration and water separation (on various forums). What I think I have learned through the...

Will the Cat 2um filter clog in cold temps?

Good info there guys! I do have the APPS in the way on my truck, however, I see that GDP has a kit to deal with that. Looks like a pretty tight fit, but so is everything else in there. Running the fuel through the heater first would make me feel better.

Will the Cat 2um filter clog in cold temps?

So this begs the question: Does it make more sense and is it possible to place it between the stock canister and CP3 instead of before the canister? In that case, the fuel has to run through the stock filter/water separator and heater first.

Will the Cat 2um filter clog in cold temps?

Thanks for the quick replies! I figured it would work ok, just wanted to see if anyone chimed in. I tend to overthink things sometimes...

Will the Cat 2um filter clog in cold temps?

I am considering installing a Cat 2 micron filter setup. My question is this: Will it be susceptible to clogging at low temps, say, below zero F? I have never had issues with my local winter fuel blends (with no additional treatment) waxing up in the stock canister with the Mopar filter, even at...

Shaking while braking even with new Front Rotors

I had a rear caliper stick and overheated everything enough to fry the axle seal. It smelled like a big rig that had over used the brakes coming off a mountain pass. The smell is what alerted me to the issue. That resulted in diff. fluid leaking and contaminating the e-brake pads too. I replaced...

CAUTION! CAUTION! on oil filter changes

Doh! This is what happens when you don't catch it... wow did I feel like an idiot. The oil pan was empty in about 10 seconds, which was about how long the truck was running before I saw the mess while backing it out of the garage. Shut it down on the spot and went back to the store in the car...

Anyone have experience with rear axle bearings and seals?

I had my passenger side rear brake caliper stick going down the pass the other day. The pads were literally smoking when I got to Home Depot to grab a few things. The heat build-up from that incident damaged the pads and seal, allowed some gear oil into the parking brake drum and made a big mess...
