    Ye old power seat thread

I dint know how the prices compare but I got my seat motors from these guys. https://www.twomenonegarage.com/dodge If your motors run then it's the gear that's stripped and they sell just the shaft and metal gears to replace the crap ones. I'm pretty sure they're who Geno's gets theirs from.

    Another Paint Thread…..

Your trucks paint looks better than mine. I've been pricing a total sand down and repaint here in Kalyforrnya and the cheapest I've found is $10k. (And that's at Maaco of all places!) That is of course, even IF they'll take it on. Most shops I visited don't want to touch it and add a premium to...

How Long Did Your Factory Batteries Last? I Got 17yrs, 4months

4 years on my 07.5. I'm on my 3rd replacement set right now.

    '09 2500 EGR issue / question

Sorry you couldn't find a used actuator. At least it's fixed. BTW, keep the old valve. It's nice to have spare parts. Thx for the update.

    Dodge 2500 Grampa Edition

Yup, love the way it tows my 5er. Only thing I would have changed was the 68rfe. I wanted a stick but found this one with all the bells and whistles for what I would have paid for a base model. Bought the 07.5 in January of 08 with $15k off the sticker and I haven't looked back. Damn nice...

    Dodge 2500 Grampa Edition

I know what you mean. I've got a 2007.5. Totally stock except rear airbags and a "lower weight" stock tune. If the paint didn't peel off so bad it would still be a nice looking 2wd "Pa-Pa" truck.

New turbo, original problem fixed, now new one.

Does it have the city diesel actuator on it? If so then it's self calibrating. Otherwise it would have needed to be calibrated by the vendor prior to shipping it to you. Or, you can do it with AlphaOBD. As for the code, it applies to the egr cooler bypass, not the egr valve. There's a few...

    '09 2500 EGR issue / question

The plunger doesn't cycle full stroke at key on. It moves until it contacts the piston and measures the difference between that measurement and the prior one. It also performs this same measurement during normal driving. With that said, you should see more than a blip. I would post another...

    '09 2500 EGR issue / question

It could be the egr valve isn't closing all the way or the actuator is drawing too much power to move. The P0489 code is for too much current to move the valve piston or the piston not returning to the fully closed position. The P042E code means the valve is stuck open and the ecm sees an...

    '09 2500 EGR issue / question

What's the code it's throwing? Chances are it's the actuator bit if the code shows a short then it could be a wiring issue instead.

    Caution About "Delete" post

The way I handle it is to take the "D" discussions off board so any indepth discussion or file sharing is not part of the forum record. Yeah, Cummins Forum garnered a bit of attention and they had to crack down on it and pretty much closed the discussions. Sad, but since forums are business...

    2007.5 - 2010 EGR Motor/Sensor K5T70286 4944847 7417 source

And of course you can delete in Kalyforrnya. You just need to do the smog check 2-step every 2 years...

    New Batteries

They don't exchange them. They refund the purchase price and you buy new ones at the current price or go somewhere else.

    New Batteries

I didn't know about it until one of the service reps told me that's what he and all his family does. Like I said, not exactly kosher.

    New Batteries

Costco! 3 year warranty. Return them in 33 months for full refund. Buy new ones for minimal out of pocket. Not exactly kosher but it works.

More on the Emission Puzzle in California...

Kalyforrnya doesn't have coal fired plants. Heck, we hardly have any gas fired ones either and just now are realizing we need to keep a planned decommissioning of a nuclear plant running for another 10 years until all our Mr Fusion generators are up and running. I don't know about PG&E or the...

More on the Emission Puzzle in California...

I can only hope the big one comes and Arizona becomes the ocean front state! Kalyforrnya is nuts! (I know, I live there)

HELLO RAM/CUMMINS ENTHUSIAST, HERE IS THE HEADLINE YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR

Great question. The wife and I have wanted to leave for well over 10 years but she is the last sibling here to help care for her father so at 89 years old there's no way we can go and leave him on his own. After that, well I think we'll be moving to a much more conservative state. (This state...

HELLO RAM/CUMMINS ENTHUSIAST, HERE IS THE HEADLINE YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR

No problem leaving it the way it is. From 49 other states point of view it does look like we had a momentary lapse of stupidity and made sense again. I honestly hope the do exclude the heavy-duty pickups and I hope common sense will prevail concerning the heavy haulers. (And EV's and solar...
