    Looking for staff member cerberusiam

They do make a slip in band. Hard to say if it's going to be a bandaid or not. an improperly adjusted band will burn up in short order. I'm not a fan of auto zone parts. what's the vehicle primarily used for? I will say find a shop to actually rebuild the trans not just swap out one or try...

    Looking for staff member cerberusiam

How much debris was in the pan? my well used but not abused 48re made is 263K, could have gone further I had it built to handle more power. ask for pictures or to be shown the front drum, you would be able to see the band and how it's worn into the drum. however, it could verywell need a...

Big Valvoline oil/atf sale this month @ Napa

while that is a good deal, I'll no longer purchase Valvoline products being they are now owned by a Saudi company. I would rather Warren distribution over them.

    road wonder.

My truck 04 qqlb, as developed road wonder, it likes to drift from line to line. My gear box has a slight leak, it's had a brace on it at mile 160K and well over 350 now. ball joints are good, tie rods are good less then 40 K on both ball joints and tie rods, Track bar? control arms? I...

    Sludge in Transmission Pan

I find the topic of band adjustment interesting, when I had mine built, my builder Fred Swanson, said you should never need to adjust the bands. I have over 150K on his tow build and no debris in the pan, and bands have never been touched. that said I'm approaching a service date miles wise and...

    Need new tires

I have to agree with the choice of these tires. these are what I'm currently running. and with the snow currently in az, they are doing great. no issues in rain, snow ice covered roads. I'm def a fan. I only have about 25K on mine and they show little to no signs of wear. I run 55f/r. If I get...

    Need new tires

i have used non biodegradable airsoft bb's to balance tires before. i have also used tire balls from an MX shop, i have also used antifreeze. the ballance beads for use in semi's works great. but they are harder to recover when breaking down the tires. 6-8 oz per tire was used.

Overhead reads "Service Needed" sporadically, but no DTC's

it's a maintenance minder i believe. 1: turn key on, no starting, 2: press and release brake pedal 2 times, 3: fully depress gas pedal slowly 2 times withing 10 seconds. 4: turn key off

    Need new tires

I had some 285's on my 04, my 08. i have some 265's on my 12v, so far they are hands down the best all terrain tire i've run. I would consistently get over 60K out of a set. loader 5er headed to glamis, zero issue towing. I had a set of coopers at3's on my 95 4 runner and they performed good...
