One down, one to go. Water pump recall has been completed. Now just waiting for the parts for the transmission recall to become available.

Turned truck in yesterday. They’ve replaced the faulty water pump and should get it back on Monday.

You are absolutely right, my bad on that one. I did purchase purchase more so the bumper to bumper matched the powertrain though I kind of wish I hadn’t. Oh well, to late now.

    No parts for recalls yet...

I have done this on my current truck but I asked the dealer I bought it from if this was ok. While I could assume that would be allowed nationwide, I didn’t want to say that and not be sure. I don’t like putting out information I “think” I know, but thank you for bringing that up. I imagine...

I’m going to have to respectfully disagree, I’m pretty sure it’s like that for any warranty work to be honored whether you have just the factory warranty or purchase an extended warranty. This warranty is offered with the new vehicle at no cost to the owner, for the powertrain only. My current...

    No parts for recalls yet...

I don’t imagine different dealers or dealers in different parts of the country would be fielded the water pumps at different times but that’s really all I could think of. I was playing around with USAA’s car buying service, not thinking I clicked a button to submit my vehicle request, next...

    No parts for recalls yet...

I’ve always been a Ford guy but have liked Dodge/Ram as well. Always liked the Cummins and was really happy when they brought the Hemi back. I’m not going to bash Chevys, but I’m just not a fan. I’m particular about my vehicles and I think Ford makes good trucks, I just really like Rams, the...

    No parts for recalls yet...

Sorry to hear that. I’m trying to be understanding because I have absolutely no idea all the processes when a recall is identified and how long it should take to come up with a solution to remedy the problem. I’m understanding because I really like my truck but it’s frustrating because the...

    No parts for recalls yet...

This is good news but I’ll be honest, I’m a bit skeptical, no disrespect to you or your dealer. I think I’ll reach out to my dealer and see what they have to say. Thanks for the update!

No, I haven’t yet as I’m currently OCONUS and only recently found out about this recall. I have a buddy that’s going to change my oil for me and I’m going to see if he’ll take a look. Guess I could have done that before venting on here.

I know this isn’t anything new, but I inquired about the status of the T51 Water Pump recall having a remedy sometime soon. When I return home from my current location, I have a nice drive from VA to my new duty station in CO. I’d feel better about the drive knowing the water pump recall has...

    Best Receiver Hitch

https://www.etrailer.com/Ball-Mounts/Curt/C45902.html That’s the hitch I have. It’ll cost ya but it is a very stout piece. 2 1/2 by 2 1/2, comes with a 2” and 2 5/16” ball. You can buy, separately, a pintle hook as well if you needed one of those. I’ve hauled vehicles, cargo trailers, travel...

    VGT Boost Question

I have a 16 with the AISIN. Bone stock, well less a K&N replacement filter and tube. It's touched 32psi.*

"Drop Stock Talk" What's your delete, tuning package?

My apologies, I did see you mentioned the trans shifting issue in your thread starter, I just forgot when I started rambling. My AISIN shifts pretty solid but I notice it does have that shift flare between between some of the gears as well. I'm curious why Ram would program that into the transmission...

"Drop Stock Talk" What's your delete, tuning package?

I've looked at those too and have seen mostly good reviews on it as well, what few I could find anyway. I had a 2015 3500 SRW Cummins with the G56. As we all know, that engine is de-tuned for the transmission. I bought it thinking it would be good for what I wanted to do with it upon retirement...
