ZF Powerline for 2025 RAM HD Diesel

Had it been another poster...sure. Moving on. We launched.

ZF Powerline for 2025 RAM HD Diesel

Give me a break. You've argued with me in the past concerning machines I owned here. I could provide some detailed info on this thing when it launches, but...nah. I think it's time for me to find the 'ignore' button instead.

ZF Powerline for 2025 RAM HD Diesel

Sorry, been here for 12 hours now installing a new machine to be ready for launching the engine in question tomorrow. I've spent way too much time on this program over the past several years, so it irked me when it's being referred to as a simple update. He has no idea.

ZF Powerline for 2025 RAM HD Diesel

Changes this major warrant a 'new' designation. The 2013 engine was what I'd consider an 'update.' Otherwise, we can just call this a bored 'n stroked 5.9L.

ZF Powerline for 2025 RAM HD Diesel

You're nitpicking...do you think displacement is the only thing used to determine whether an engine is "new" or not? ********.

ZF Powerline for 2025 RAM HD Diesel

I've only driven one vehicle with the rotary shifter (Chrysler Pacifica) but I was not a fan. Same with a recent Mercedes rental which had a column stalk, but it was a center-return thing with up for R, down for D, slight move either direction for N, and press a button in at the end for P...

Partuiculate Matter Sensor and Module recall ??

You're right, I was way off; initial MY2021 production included the sensors, then switched over to no sensors in mid-2021. It looks like CC trucks began receiving sensors sometime Q2 of 2022, but I don't think pickups ever did until MY2023. I edited my earlier comment. Thanks!

Engine rotations (Cranking) to start has doubled since fuel filter change.

You all experiencing long cranking - do you have the latest software for your trucks? I believe that was addressed in a software release.

Partuiculate Matter Sensor and Module recall ??

The lack of PM sensor was indeed a supply problem after COVID, and there was a specific calibration used on those trucks. Initial 2021 production included sensor but ran out sometime the middle of that year; CC trucks began receiving sensors mid-2022 but pickups didn't until MY2023. The grid...

    2016 Engine failure

Not sure if there's much available for the 328d vs the 330d, but I've driven a tuned/deleted 330d and it was incredible.

Is the 2022 HO Engine HPFP Fixed?

Probably depends on what parts they run out of along the way.

    High Pressure Fuel Pump Recall

It can't be easy to put together kits for hundreds of thousands of vehicles while continuing to build parts for current production engines...not on a good day even, but especially in today's ****show.

    Super dumper Ram cummins

Yep. We don't do special orders.

    Prove which engine is installed

It's still there, on the top rear of the breather cover...but the pickup versions don't contain ratings info any longer. Cab chassis engines do. The ESN is on that sticker as well as on the 'traceability label' that's on the front side of the breather cover. It should also be on a small...

    High Pressure Fuel Pump Recall

I recall seeing it in the Cummins instructions when we were doing a few in the plant, and I'm assuming those were put into the dealer instructions as well.

    High Pressure Fuel Pump Recall

Have you had a chance to take it back in? Pump timing was going to be my guess as well - they might have timed the pump, but not the engine to TDC prior to installing the new pump. The 3-rotor pump needs to match the firing of the engine. Your '14 would have been timed from the...

    “HellCat Hauler”

Fair enough. Yet another reason I'll never own a Tesla.

    “HellCat Hauler”

I think "misplaced blame" is what we're looking for here. He's lucky he didn't take anyone out.
