    Tires

I’ll agree with the LTX. I believe I put well over 60,000 on them running hot shot. Great tire.

Just Ordered a New 2500 Long Bed 4X4

Must have recently removed the 50 gallon tank option, as my 2024 2500 has a 50 gallon tank. I need to check the build date.

    Cummins in the news.

Correct. It is GCWR. Mine is at 24k truck and trailer. Keeping me under 26,001. Which is perfect for me in Texas.

    Cummins in the news.

You are correct. Most people don’t even look at the GVWR or GCVWR when purchasing.

    Cummins in the news.

Or, a person needing a higher GVWR can buy a truck with a higher GVWR. Sounds pretty simple. I have a 2500 with a 10k GVWR and a 3500 with a 3500 GVWR. Why? Because that’s what is offered.

    Cummins in the news.

The 10,000lb GVWR allows trucks to be used for certain businesses to run under the 10,001lb DOT regs for commercial vehicles. I run a 2500 and I can pull a 14k GVWR trailer all over the state of Texas and not have to run a log book. I can run a hot shot anywhere in the U.S. and not have to...

    P0402 and P04DE

I managed to get 28k on the Firestones. Had 63K on my Michelin LTX’s. Great tire. Granted the first 14k on the Transforce tire was highway. New truck so back to Firestones again.

    P0402 and P04DE

It’s a 2024 Tradesman Level 2 Trim 4x4. I need to get my truck back at the house. Got to pull off the airbags, camera, tools, transponder etc. Got a couple hours work. Best part is I don’t have to worry about warranty and tires for a while.

    P0402 and P04DE

Don’t need you to point out anything. I got this. Doesn’t really matter. Just traded it in for a 2024. I’ll pick it up about 1:30. Merry Christmas.

    P0402 and P04DE

Well I will continue to waste my time and money and you can continue not to worry about what I do.

    P0402 and P04DE

I just don’t see myself running 15k oil changes. Never had never will. It is a 2022 with 91,800 miles. Except for this EGR bs, it still runs and shifts like a new truck.

    P0402 and P04DE

Truck is at 90,000 miles. I do a bunch of towing and for the most part the DPF remains at 0 most of the time. Got the P0402 a couple of time so I pulled the EGR off and cleaned it. Wasn’t too bad. Not sure what the P04DE code is. Gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow and drop it off. Don’t...

    Put Gas in my 6.7

I did the same thing years ago on my 01. Was running on fumes and pulled into a filling station and grabbed the yellow handle and started pumping. Had about 4 gallons in it. About the time I noticed I was pumping gas the truck started to stumble. I quickly turned off the truck. Called the...

    Need new tires

They do fine in the rain. I run hot shot so I’ve run them in everything but snow. I haven’t seen snow in years. Don’t get much in south Texas.

    Need new tires

They do fine. Never had any issues. Spend a lot of time on ranch roads and bad county roads.

    Need new tires

The picture could be a little deceiving these tires have no more than 10,000 miles left in them but that’ll give me 72,000 so I am well pleased

    Need new tires

Just turned 90k. Put on a set of Michelin LTX’s at 28,000 mile. i still have at least another 10k left on them. Best tires I’ve ever owned. That’ll be 72,000 miles with a ton of towing and off road mileage. Pretty impressed myself. Rotated every 10k and run 65lbs air.

DPF gauge not going to 0%

Pulled a 8k load to Carrizo Springs the day before yesterday. Truck did the 24h regen and the DPF gauge has been on 0 since. Went down to Space X yesterday, still all good. Got the P0402 code for the second time, so pulled and cleaned the EGR valve. It wasn’t too bad. Turned 90,000 miles and...
