Smarty Resource Forum is Shut Down

The Smarty Resource site is temporarily down. We are taking this time to upgrade the software used for our web site, to enable us to offer even more services in a timely manner. We had hoped to do a slow implementation of our new site, but that is no longer an option. Our new site will be...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission did BD copy the DSS

I began purchasing the DSS (Darins Steering Stabilizer) from Darin @ Solid Steel in late 2002, or early 2003. I would have to dig in our archives to determine the actual date of our initial order. It was my understanding that Darin owned the busiiness & had 1 employee. I was not aware of a...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission dss 2nd gen trac bar to a 3rd gen truck

Solid Steel Industrial has 2 different adjustable tracks bars. 1 for the 2nd gen which requires the conversion bracket. The other for the 3rd gen with no bracket required. The 3rd gen bar has an additional bend in it compared to the 2nd gen design. Will the 2nd gen bar fit the 3rd gen ? Dunno as...

    injector tips and bodies?

Bob took a couple days off last week. (or was it the week before?) In an effort to assist, I had him forward his calls to us. Handle your load ? Sure I thought. Piece of cake. I had 3 people on staff here "attempting" to handle his phone load. Attempting being the key word, as we...

    Archived Wyoming help ?

We've got a fellow bomber Dan Robinson in need of some installation help on a vp44. He's on a hunting trip & presently in Baggs Wyoming. Says the closest sizeable town is Rawlins. He's 80 or so miles (I think) from a Cummins dealer who refuses to do the job because of his bombs. Turbo, sticks &...

Fass. Major portwork on cylinder head. Cooltwist intercooler. Smarty/Ts stack. Our own automatic with...

We've now had 3, (count 'em ) three '06s come through our shop with ONLY 1 quart of atf in the transfercase. My initial thought was it HAD to be a mistake. Either on our end, or the customers or Chrysler. It's now appearing it may be bean counters ? Wow, if that's the case... ..... :(

    BEST Pair of Work Boots?

Interesting thread, thanks to JGrefenstette for starting it. 1st 4 years I elk hunted, my feet froze with inexpensive store brands. Last time out, I stepped up to thinsulated Danners. Wow, I was a fool to try to save money on winter footwear. I'm a slow learner, but I've got that one figured out...

Solid Steel Industries Products any opinions?

Solid Steel Is my favorite product line to sell. By NO means our fattest margins, but by FAR our lowest return rate :D VERY near ZERO. I'd have to do the math, but WELL under 1%. NO other product line even comes CLOSE. This is with a SATISFACTION GUARANTEED policy. The 3rd gen. track bar...
