'74 Cummins Power Wagon Crew Cab Monster Rock Toy

Alright - we want to finish/play with some other toys and need to make some room, so the big rig is for sale, final answer. Mods - pls don't kill (or merge) the build thread in the 1st Gen section with this one - I'll be updating the thread until such time as the truck sells...and even then...
  2. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

...well...the only constant in the Universe is 'change', and we've decided to keep the big beastie around for at least another year, maybe forever :) . We'll still have our Dakota on 40s and next winter we're hoping to build the wife's 94 Grand Cherokee up on 33's, so we'll have plenty of...
  3. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

...and in the meantime we're still gonna play with it now n then - here's a couple flex shots from our trail run last weekend - I've never had it on a RTI ramp but the thing can stretch its legs pretty good :)
  4. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

Well shoot. Ok - It's a long story and a good story and we've had a blast wheeling the big toy, but as much as we'd love to keep it we just can't keep 'em all, so our Power Wagon is for sale. $25k Overall: 1974 Dodge Cummins Power Wagon Crew Cab. Cummins 6BT (non-intercooled), 47RH 2wd...

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

thanks, and sure thing. First off...resolutely "eliminating" axle wrap on a truck with leaf springs while also allowing the leafs to articulate within their natural compression/extension limits is sorta impossible. Folks have used links-over-leafs to contain axle wrap but doing so essentially...
  6. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

...and in my continuing attempts to make the rig quieter, I installed a stock 1st Gen air filter assembly, only I bolted it to the fender and not to the inner fender which is not appearing in this film, yet. Haven't run it around yet but I know it'll make a nice difference because it will...
  7. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

Cool - got all hatches battened and lug nuts back on, fired up and drove it around yesterday, and all systems seem to be good to go . One girl in a JK hollered out the window "that's the sexiest truck I've ever seen!", which made my day :) . R-rear hub is dry, exhaust is maybe a bit less loud...
  8. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

While it's been down I also re-did the exhaust, now sporting a 4" baffled and chambered muffler from Heartthrob exhaust - it's the only B&C muffler I could find in 4 inch - they call it the 'wife pleaser', so I'm looking forward to a quieter exhaust, especially on the road. Modified a 1st Gen...
  9. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

time for an update: All 4 leaf springs are replaced, and a correction - ProComp leafs are not covered under a lifetime warranty, but 4WP did hook me up and honored their original stance. While I had it all apart I replaced the bump stops with ones much better suited for this truck. The first...
  10. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

I've thought about better headlights but just haven't got that far. The truck weighs 8500 lbs without the roof or doors, prolly an even 9k all buttoned up. I forgot to mention - the truck's name is "Bud" (Big Ugly Dodge) o_O:) - and I went back and edited the original post ;)
  11. "Mad Max"

1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

Hiya folks - name's Sam, long-time member, and have a big silly toy named Bud...that while technically is not an actual 1st Gen Cummins it is powered by one, and I thought y'all might dig it. It's a '74 Power Wagon, crew cab convertible, with an early (non-IC) Cummins 6BT, 47rh, Ford divorced...

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Autometer 2663 fuel pressure gauge (with electric sending unit)

the only ones I've seen are the adjustable kind - it there a non-adjustable needle valve that has the sizing already in it to dampen the pulses? - I thought the snubber 'is' that device?

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Autometer 2663 fuel pressure gauge (with electric sending unit)

use a needle valve in addition to the snubber, or use the snubber 'as' the needle valve??

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Autometer 2663 fuel pressure gauge (with electric sending unit)

howdy folks. I just picked up a 95 CTD 2500 4x4 - decent farm truck with about 225k on it. This is my first 2nd Gen truck (I'm a rabid 1st Gen fan but this truck was a pretty good deal - anyway...). It's got some starting issues, and based on the symptoms and what I've read I've got a new TT...
