    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Speedometer accuracy

Again, thanks for all the suggestions guys. I am beginning to see the problem in a somewhat different light. For example, when I use Marv's gearing formula I get a speed more like the GPS numbers. In addition, I do see an issue with the constant 4 MPH differential - should, in fact, be...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Speedometer accuracy

Thanks for the input. Your assumption is correct. I bought the truck about 3 mo. ago with relatively new tires. I wondered about the tire size issue, but ruled it out when I found that tire/gear/MPH calculator. (www.dodgeram.org/tech/specs/axle/47auto.htm) The speeds described on that page are...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Check Your Cab Mounts

re: cab mounts Checked mine after reading your post. Easy to find - four brackets under cab attached to frame with rubber shocks. No problem! Everything looked ok - welds, bracket forms and attachment points. 1996 2500HD standard cab long bed 126K miles

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Speedometer accuracy

I noticed my truck seemed to be traveling a little slower than the speedometer indicated. If I did the speed limit, other folks were blowing my doors off as they went around me. Got out the GPS and discovered a 4 MPH gap all the way from 5 to 70 MPH. In other words, when my speedometer says 54...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Turbo Boost Gauge

Ok - Got my turbo boost gauge hooked up to the right port in the intake manifold... with a little help from my friends - thanks (see previous post). It's actually working. Doesn't show any boost at idle (probably not sensitive enough), but I think I can see the wastegate chop the boost profile...

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Best place to pickup turbo boost air pressure?

Again, thanks for the advice. Looks like I probably did have the gauge in the right hole, just need to follow through. Will try again. I really do appreciate the guidance. Makes a big difference for someone like me who's just getting into this.

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Best place to pickup turbo boost air pressure?

Thanks for your reply. Saw that - plug on inlet header behind/under injector pump? Stuck a gauge in there... nothing - no pressure. Could be clogged? Wonder if that's where gauge kits recommend connection?

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Best place to pickup turbo boost air pressure?

Where's the best place to tap the inlet air pressure for a gauge on a 1996 12v engine?
