    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 flow rates?

Ron: May I ask how you had that measured? And is it 325 cc per pump revolution or what units? cc per ??? Thanks for help with starting numbers. Paul

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 flow rates?

Mjoppie: Check your PM's. There are other adjustments that can be made to the P7100 but need to be done on a test stand. Control rack travel and fine tuning of plunger/barrels seems to be the keys as well as a balance of the fuel plate and governor arm. Do a search on P7100 and look back a...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 flow rates?

Does anyone know stock flow rates for a 180 HP P7100 pump? I've seen different units for measuring also, such as cc per plunger/barrel and then total cc's. Either would be helpful. As a second part does anyone have any ideas of what HP ratings roughly equate to what flow rates. I know that...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission intermittent brake pull AGAIN!

Make sure that it's not just the fronts. I thought I had the same problem with violent pulling. Finally got around to pulling rear drums off and one side full of gear lube from a bad seal. New seal, bigger wheel cylinders, new shoes and cleaned up drums and she stops on-a-dime, not around it...

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) TDR saved me more money again!

Yeah, but what has it cost you in mods? :D Let's see, plate $200, exhaust $400, extra fuel ??? But, hey, aint it fun and as the commercial says -- that's priceless.

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Low Dyno #'s = something not right??

I had the same problem. Dynoed barely above stock when I had a #6 forward, 3K springs, and timing at 16. Should have been closer to 230's +, but was 190. Ended up it was the overflow valve. At least this is a cheap fix/check. Just a thought. Paul

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Optimas are in

I've read good threads about the Optimas but have never seen anything posted about using battery heating wraps on them. I've use them on my regular battery and notice a big difference when not plugged in. My truck has to sit outside all Wisconsin Winter. Not sure if needed/recommended with the...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Control Rack Adjustment

Chrleb1 - I follow you on your explanation (good descriptions by-the-way) as I've been reading the Bosch in-line pump book. I still have the questions of: 1. How to most accurately measure rack travel? I've read that 18 mm is best and 21-23 mm takes it to the start position of fueling for...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Control Rack Adjustment

I've been looking at that adjustment screw also but too chicken to change it. A pump manual I have shows it linked directly to the control rack. Seems like it is almost too simple so would probably REALLY mess things up. Any one out there ever mess with it?

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Control Rack Adjustment

Besides sliding the AFC forward and the spring kit and moving the fuel plate forward and adjusting the governor arm, are there any other ways to adjust the control rack for further travel? Also, how do you measure the travel? Older posts have talked about 18mm being the optimal distance. I'm...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rear Brake Adjustment

Wyatt: I'm new here to this board but had been dealing with the same problem on my 98. Do one thing and do it now before any adjusting -- pull the drums off and look. Mine had done the same thing. I just let off the rear adjusters (you have to hold the tensioner away from the ratchet wheel to...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Owners with 100K+ miles

98 12 valve new to me with 83,000 now 106,000. Overflow valve, RR axle seal, pinion seal and tranfercase output seal. Normal fluids and checks. So far so good. Looking forward to at least another 106,000. Paul
