Well after 109,000 the transmission is done. Truck was 100% stock. I have serviced it every 30,000 and tighten the bands. What are my options? Dodge factory rebuilt is 3600 not sure if that was installed. Longer warranty forgot what they said 80,000 miles? Local re-builder about 2,000 installed 12 months 12,000 miles or you can buy an extended warranty didn't get the cost.

It still runs fine only slight split second slip on start. They found a over-drive band clamp they are guessing in the pan when we went to service it.

Was wondering if I should get a better built transmission and a box for some gains. The exhaust is also toast and needs to be replaced. I cannot tie the truck up long due to work. I live on Long Island so I guess I need something fairly close or can they do a core charge on one sent? Thanks for your help! I was told 600 labor to remove and replace the transmission only if I get a built transmission. Iwas reading they other thread but any additional info is appreciated.

While mine hasn't pulled 100's of tons, it has pulled 2 5vrs over the NW passes in WA state & performed great! I would buy again in a second without any hesitation & I will when it's time. 100k+ miles on mine as well. Look at the price title & they are listed.

thought I would get more options hereOo.

edit

I did talk to DTT and it was 3900 +600 shipping then 600-700 to install here so it may be a great ranny but I don't want to go crazy on an 01 and dump 5200 I was thinking 3500 tops. I talk to Janttey Racing which is 2 hrs away and I can a transmission for 3600 installed good for 400 hp 12/12 warranty which is not great. I can drive there and have it installed in one day wjile I wait for that price which is a plus. Any experience with them anyone? thanks!

Soryy for the questions.

Pro 592LS 1600 stall HD converter does what vs. stock?

BD Valve body?

BD 2-3 servo?

BD stop 4th gear acumulator 2. 346?

I think the rest of the parts are stock in the rebuild.
