Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 01 4x4 tranfercase switch national backordered?

My 4x4 needs that switch with the ball in it that throws vaccum to the cad front axle so the 4x4 will engage, its showing on national backorder in south texas and nobody in the aftermaket parts houses can get one as it shows its a dealer item, the dodge dealer in corpus says its the same switch from 84 to 2001 4x4x's anybody have one or can call there dealer and see if they acciently have one in stock, i can pay thru payal and make it worth your time for sure, i am so sick on my front axle not working when i need it, its really been wet this spring and easter down here in south texas thanks

I had one in my hand at the NAPA dealer a few weeks ago. They ordered it up for me but I needed the CAD switch not the vacuum switch. Try them they should have it.

Give the folks at 4x4 Posilock in Michigan a call. Ask them about the manual switch they sell that eliminates the need for vacuum for 4 wheel drive. Its on my wish list. It gives you the ability to have the 4 wheel drives low gear while actually being in 2 wheel drive. You can have the best off both worlds. Four wheel drive low and the same gear without being in 4 wheel drive.
