I just checked the brakes on my 2500. I know a lot of people have complained of short life from the stock brakes. I have had the truck a little under a year and a half. It now has 45,000 miles. I measured new brakes at the dealer andy they are 19/32". I just measured mine and I have 11/32" left on all four corners!:)

Now I am trying to figure out, do I not drive agressive enough, or did I get some "experimental" brakes on my truck from the factory. :D

mike--

the auto trans ctd will wear brakes faster than the manual trans, cause, i would say that a lot of drivers use regular drive in the stop and go situations, thus putting them in a free wheeling situation, and using more brakes than they really need. i do'nt see many people use "3" gear in there slower driving, to help save their brakes. i've read here that a couple trucks have gotten 85M pluse miles before changing pads.

just my pennys worth
