So did many of the 3500's have CAD? I ask because our 02 3500 auto DOES have CAD.

Do the trucks without CAD still have the Cast sleeve thingy where the CAD would be?

01.5

my understanding was the 01. 5 changes occurred after their July 4th week of shutdown.

automanufacturers shut down the week of the 4th of July for a scheduled maintenaince.

Another thing that marked the end of the '01 model... the elimination of the Light Driftwood Pearlcoat color. Bright Silver replaced it on the '01. 5 model. Also, a Bright Silver Sport model was added.

Almond color

I would say that Almond replaced the Light Driftwood color based on the fact that my 2002 is Almond, definitely not silver.

I would postulate that the deletion of "trim" parts between 2001 and 2002 was a matter of exhausting existing inventories during that production period based on the apparent inconsistency from one random truck sample to the next.

My truck has CAD, rear disk brakes and no other extras, not even the front air dam. I did get 3 different shades of "tan" plastic interior trim though

If my passenger side vanity mirror is not lighted, I'm really going to be PO'd :-laf better go check!

So what is the difference in the published GVWR for the trailer package on the 2001. 5 vs. the non trailer.

That's the deal, all the 2500's got the same 8800 rating. Camper package had the overloads and sway bar. 265/75's where put on a lot of them. Trailer package only added the hitch and pigtail for the brake controller. My door sticker is for the 245's, but it had the 265 from the factory. 3415 rated tires verses the 3042 tires. Rear axle was still at 6084, twice the 245 rating. DRATS, could use a 9500 or 9600 rating with the 5er. SNOKING

This thread is so funny. It's like DC was building trucks out of a grab bag. :) I also have "IT ALL" except for lighted vanity. The rear sway bar is bad off road but sweet on the black corners. I'm so glad I have the CAD, it makes up for my mileage robbing shell. The question is; Is there an 01. 5 out there with the lighted vanity? I'm willing to bet no! Mike

Wait just a minute I'll run out & check. For I never get to sit in the passenger seat.

Burrr it's cold out there. Nope no lighted mirror. But don't tell the wife she's never noticed.

Our 02 was purchased when the 03's were on the lot. Doesnt mean it is a late model 02, but it came off the truck when we got it. I'll have to check the date on the door.

It does have CAD, and it is functional.

It does have rear cup holders.

It also does have the black tailgate plastic.

It does not have the fenderwheel liners. did any of the duallys have liners?

It does not have the lighted mirror.

My uncles 02 dually (purchased when the 02's came out):

Does not have CAD

Does not have the lighted mirror

Does not have the liners

Does have the cup holders

Does have the black tailgate plastic.
