Hi guys. Need some opinions. My '01 2500 now has 95,000 mi on it. 10'000 or so back it started "surging" during acceleration. I've got no codes set and engine is stock except for a FASS and AFE filter. Once up to speed the surging is almost gone. Seems to be at it's worst when the engine is cold. The colder the morning, the more it acts up. Could this be an injector problem? Or did I over oil the AFE filter when I put it on... about the time this all strarted happening and fogged the MAP sensor. I haven't reset APPS yet either. If it is the MAP sensor could someone tell me where it's located and is it cleanable once removed as well as what I'll need to remove it from the engine. Thank you for your help!!! Jim

I'm having the same problem as you. I started a thread - "Hesitation Problem" and got some good advice. I'm now leaning toward the MAP as well. I've got a K&N and think the same thing has happened to mine. I think I'll pop it out tomorrow and take a look. I believe it's behind the fuel filter toward the firewall. You'll see the harness connector sticking out. Someone said it takes a deep well 1 1/4 socket. Hope this helps. I'll let you know what I find.

Oh yeah, it's nice to know it's been doing it for you for 10k miles - meaing it's not the VP!!!
