'01 rims

Guys,

I have asked the question before with not many replies. Can someone tell me if the aluminum rims from an '01 3/4 ton will fit a first gen. I want a set of them for my 85 crew cab, but not sure if they'll fit, some say they will some say they won't. I am just tryin to keep from having to go test drive one just to bring it home and pull a wheel off it to see if it will bolt onto my truck.

They will bolt on but the offset isn't correct. On hard right turns the tire will contact the pitman arm end of the drag link and tear the boot off of it. Also puts extra side load on wheel bearings. On the other hand the wider stance looks cool.

I have a set of American Racing rims for the '93, anyone know if they will fit on a 97-98??

Unless something is totally out of wack, Yes they will fit. I've take the eagle alloys off my 1990 W350 dually and they fit both the '01 Dodge and my '87 Furd dually. The newer Dodge uses 9/16 studs on the wheels and the 93 Dodge use 5/8 studs. Just requires different lug nuts.



Just think, the mag style dually aluminum wheel lug nuts are only 3-5 dollars each. I Know, 'cause we just bought some for a friends '01 Dodge.....
