'01 tailpipe on '93

On the 29th my brother's truck lost the old restrictive factory tailpipe. We put on a tailpipe off of a '01 I got off a buddy who just put on 4" on his truck. It wasn't the easiest to get the old one off and the new one on. Needed the "blue wrench". But it sure does look cool and sounds a bit better. It was definitely worth the effort.

I had considered doing the same thing on mine and Mom's. I think I'll probably get a few 4" 45s and 90s and make my own "custom" exhaust. I'm a decent hand with a welder.

Any difference in EGT, spoolup, cooldown, etc?

The tailpipe doesn't reduce egt's much or give much more boost but I think a 3. 5" or 4" system one would see a noticable drop.

If a guy wanted a cheap tailpipe he could probably go to a shop that installs aftermarket stuff on the newer trucks.
