Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 01 VP-44 will it work on a 99

Howdy Guys,

Will it work? I need yet another VP-44 and have found one with 28,000 miles in a 2001 235 HP 3500 w/ auto that a friend has that was totaled out a while back.

My question is will the 01 pump work on my 99 w/ auto.

I'm now working on replacement pump # 4 in 160,000 miles.

Yes it will work, the pumps are the same except the 2001 pump should have a few updates.
