02 CTD Swap

I have a 02 CTD that apparently has some damage to the block, so it looks like I am going to be swapping it out. I have several that I am looking at, some are in wrecked UPS delivery trucks. They are all 2000-2002 models, so they should work with a few swaps, intake, exhaust, etc. I know that these engines were used in many applications, buses, trucks, equipment, etc. I am assuming that all of these are the same engine as long as it is from a 1998.5-2002. And I know about the 53 blocks. If there is anything else that I need to be looking for, anyone with experience on this please chime in and let me know what I need to be looking for, that would be greatly appreciated.
