Just recently ran codes after about 5000 miles on new IP. 0236 "boost too high too long" and the 1693 companion code. What do I do to fix this? Truck is basically stock other than edge ez and RV275's. The truck is a 2001

Just spit balling here but I would guess that either the booster fooler in the EZ is not working or you have a problem with the actual MAP sensor. Maybe a bad connection from the EZ to the MAP?

Did you do the boost elbow or j-hook on the wastegate with the EZ? If so maybe the elbow is blocked or hook is binding and causing the boost to climb to high?

What is your boost reading at WOT?

Take the ground from the edge EZ where ever it is located and go straight to the battery ground.

Unless they have been redesigned since I got mine (about 7 years ago) there is no seperate ground wire. The only connections are to the ECM plug and a plug to the MAP sensor.

Unless you are suggesting to figure out which wire in the bundle from the ECm plug is the ground and cutting/running a new wire?

The unit is powered by the ECM plug, no seperate power or ground like a Edge Comp.

even a bad MAP probably wouldn't set that code since it's going through the EZ... reset the codes and see if it comes back. did you make any runs after the VP install without the EZ plugged in? if you haven't modded the wastegate you shouldn't get over 20-21 lbs boost anyway. maybe a quick spike if you romp on it with the 275s.

I am sorry I thought that it was wired the same way as my comp. when I moved the ground to the battery and soliderd the tap wire all my codes went away.
once again I apologize for my misinformation.

have a great day.
