Has anyone else had problems with the factory 4X2 front springs sagging??

Mine have dropped to the point of touching the bumpstops. What do you think, am I just lucky enough to have gotten a "special" set of lowered springs or is this a commom fault.

Has anyone changed to an aftermarket spring with good results.

By the way, this is a avery low milage 03' only 55,000 miles mostly highway.

Thanks

i have a 03 3500 srw 4x2 my springs are also sagging to the point that the bump stops are touching. i ordered a set of daystar 1. 5" spacers to see if that will help. there are all kinds of options for 4x4. i haven't recieved them yet but when i install them i will let you know how it turned out

SuperSprings Supercoils are an excellent option, fairly affordable. I've installed several sets, mostly on 2nd gens, but two 3rd gens. One had badly sagging springs, poorly heat treated, I'd wager. The second didn't sag until the owner installed the heavy front replacement bumper. I warned him it was a possibility when we installed the bumper, and after a year or so, he brough it back and wanted something done. I opted for the Supercoils. No maintanence, a bit stiffer ride, but excellent handling characteristics and longetivity. I haven't had to redo anything I've done with them. The OE springs are basically factory springs, but better finished quality. The 3900 lb SSC-21s will ride slightly rougher, but hold up over time.

I know I'm waking up an old thread, but it looked like a good place to drop this.

My 04's front end has been riding low for quite a while. Right after the new year, I stumbled on a killer deal for a set of SSC-12 Supercoils: https://www.supersprings.com/shop/SSC-12/.

I figured my bump stops were probably pretty beat up, so I went looking for replacements and bumped into a really good deal on a set of SSF-301-47 Sumosprings: https://www.supersprings.com/shop/SSF-301-47/

I topped it all off with a new set of Bilstein's and my truck is now sitting as it should. The handling is greatly improved and the ride is firm, but not harsh.

I could not be more pleased with the way it turned out.

That’s my plan also for my ‘04. But Timbren Aeon springs instead.

The Bilstein are maybe good for 100k. I’d call it 70.
