'03 boost levels w/Juice

I have recently read several postings on third generation boost pressures after the installation of an edge/juice or similar product. It seems that some people are getting 30-40psi, some even more than 40. I just went for a run with my '03 2500 with Hot Edge J/A and the most I have been able to produce is about 27psi. I do have the boost elbow installed. The truck is a 5-speed if that has any bearing on how the edge performs. I am just curious if this is all I should expect, or is there something I should do to increase the boost pressure?

03-04 use a smaller turbo than the newer trucks. They also don't boost as high of numbers.



Did you notice much of an increase after the elbow install?

I did'nt run her hard enough before the installation of the elbow to get much of a reading. Is there anything that can be done mechanically to increase the boost short of changing the turbo or other seriously costly things? I don't tow much and I am mostly interested in drivetrain longevity with the ability to rather aggresively drop the hammer now and then!!!

My 03 HO was capable of 30 psi with just an EZ and edges boost elbow. Your 5 speed is a SO so It starts out at less boost. Maybe it's not that far off, but you should gain at least 2-3 lbs with the elbow installed.

I just got mine installed on my 03 HO today.

Stock was about 22-24 lbs. After Juice and boost elbow max is 32lbs.



Does this sound right?

Don't want to hurt the turbo, with too much preasure.

yes manual trans has every thing to do with it I have a 05 put the box on and only built 29lbs called them up and told them my probem they sent me a new box when you order the chip MAKE SURE you tell them what trans & gears you have
