I just got the new Smoothie from Geno's. They finaly got one made for the 03's. The fit is really good, and it looks great. There is one problem though. The latch needs to be adjusted, but the latch is different from the earlier models. It looks like I will have to adjust the latch inside the armrest cover. The only problem is I can't figure how to get to it. If anyone has an idea, let me know.

There available now? They are still shown as BACKORDERED on the website and I've been checking for the last few weeks. I guess you have to call to get the latest info.

Can you post some pics?

What does it look like? Does it hang off the front of the center seat area? I'd love to see a photo... might have to order one.

Mine came Friday (ordered in December). So far I'm very pleased with it. Geno's instruction sheet says the latch is not adjustable. Slamming it definitely doesn't work, but I'm learning the right touch of heavy pressure applied right on the front edge to get it latched. I'll try and take a couple of pictures later today. I'm thinking about putting some expanding foam around the cupholders on the underside to insulate it.

After only three days, you can see it's leaving an impression on the seat:

Here's the underside--you can see where I'm thinking about adding expanding foam to insulate the cupholders:

Nice pics. There has to be away to make the latch work, I just haven't figured it out yet. You can't slam mine hard enough to make it latch!

Yup, just wrapped in an (in need of replacement) drink can 'coozee' and jammed in the console pocket. Not terribly useful in Florida, but much more fun in Colorado.

Stick: Slamming doesn't work, but just very firm steady pressure on the front edge does.

Here's the trick to adjust the latch. .

Take the center console lid off (phillips screws)

Pry off the plastic cover on the bottom of the console lid (the side with the black padded felt in the center) This piece is snapped in and is tough to remove but does come off -you might be able to take this off with the console lid still mounted.

There are 2 screws holding the latch to the console lid - I added a couple washers between the latch and the lid to adjust - trial and error.

Thanks for the hint. That was what I was planning on doing when my cup smoothie comes in. Good to know I won't be wasting my time.

Got my cup smoothie today. I tried the washers under the screws trick to adjust the latch and it almost worked. It gave it enough room to grab but the latch handle itself would hit the cup smoothie and would stay open. I cut away the plastic on the smoothie under the handle so it had some room and that worked better. It's a little hard to shut but not bad. I tried adding another set of washers under the screws to make it shut easier but then the latch started binding up on the cover.

I ended up making a shim out of aluminium (0. 150). It is alot sturdier than washers. And I also had to cut the plastic on the Smoothie under the latch handle. All is well know!

I'll probably end up making a shim eventually. I agree that washers aren't the best. Maybe Geno's can do the same and supply a shim and longer screws with the smoothie in the future (and also trim that piece of plastic).

I'm sure glad to have a smoothie again. I really missed the one I had in my '01. It sure is nice to have one again. No more bending over to get my coffee and no more bending over to rescue it when a sharp turn or bump is ahead.

Got mine all installed with the washer shim and smoothie trim out under the handle tricks. It is firm to close and requires some effort to open but it works.

WARNING WARNING Apparently no one else had this issue but there are 12 plastic clips that hold the plastic trim piece on the bottom of the lid. I busted 6 out of 12 in removal.   I'm sure I can't buy that part at the dealership but I'll ask.
