Archived 03 Dies At Idle Please Help.....

My 03 dodge ram 2500 will more or less just idles down when I start it and then back to normal idle . It has killed the engine a few times . It does it in Park N and Drive . The only codes I am getting is p 0700 which is a transmission code that was there before . I am thinking TPS but who knows . Any help will be greatly appreciated .

I don't know Diddly or his brother about CRD systems but since no one else has spoken up I'll bring you back to the top.

Have you tried the - battery disconnect, key on for a li'l bit, hook um back up thing?

Almost sounds like a failed harness, ECM control, failed injector problem.

sstefanini, I don't think it is your tps(throttle position sensor). I think it is called the apps in the 98. 5's on up.

I don't think your apps would cause it either. When the pedal goes bad I believe it causes "dead pedal" (idle only).

Your problem does sound like electronics though.
