Gentlemen. I have a new 03 with about 2600 miles on it. Today i got a surveys in the mail. Many of you have gotten these Surveys. I was wondering (when) Should these be filled out and mailed. Today i also got a follow up on the dealer wanting to know if i had filled it out yet? I will fill it out and mail it but as of now i feel i don't even know my new truck yet. How do you members feel about this. I will be listing My negatives about the truck soon. I will say the positives out weigh the negatives... :-{}

I just filled mine out honestly with how I felt about the truck with that mileage, etc. on it. I think they are just looking for your opinions. I know it is a big deal to the dealer about how they are filled out and if you have anything good/bad to say about them.

More on 03

right dean, I guess it is a reflection on the dealer etc. The truck is doing fine according to all the posts i've read about vibrations and other things. I haven't experienced many things yet. I have had a funny noise in the truck at idle and when i went to wash it today because we had ice and salt on the roads over the week end i noted water inside every door around the black door rubber seals. and at the bottom edge of the door i had sand and junk in that area. I will watch this much closer on the next wash and if it happens again i will report it to a local dealer. Has anyone had this trouble? Billl

door seals

I removed my rubber door seals from the bottom of the doors, just because they were always wet behind the seals and I am afraid that will cause rust in the long run. I have had no problems without them. I posted this subject about three months ago but had no replies.

This is not related to your survey specifically, just some common sense guidelines to follow.

If it is the factory survey, it is mostly rating how the dealer performed. Blasting the dealer for a problem with the truck just pi##$% the dealer off. The factory puts a lot of pressure on the dealer to get the good surveys returned. The way I always looked at it, if your mad at the dealer for something, give him a chance to make it right. If he doesn't, then rate him accordingly on the survey. The other important thing is don't kill the dealer and not include comments to back up what you say. The dealers get ALL the surveys back, so you might as well give constructive feedback in case he really does want to be the best he can be.

On the other hand, if your mad at the product, write or call the customer service line. If it is not the dealers fault, still giving him a good survey might pay off when you need something down the road. Believe me, they have great memories of who gave them a bad survey when they really didn't deserve it.
