03 eng to 01 bus communication

Ive put an 03 engine in a 01 truck, because of bus differences the 03 engine is not able to communicate with the 01 truck. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

Can you look up ECM, PCM with a DRB 3? Have you tried an early 03 pcm?
