I'm thinking about getting a little more power but I'm not sure how much power the 48RE can handle. I'm not interested in racing. I just want a little more poop in the pedal. I think the EZ would be a good addition but I'm not sure about adding more pressure to the fuel rail.

We have been hearing that adding pressure to the fuel rail is bad but I have yet to hear of any failures.

Is it wise to go with the EZ or should I wait for a mild timing and pulse width box?

I know the TST box is out now but I have the auto and I'm not going to be able turn the box up with out damage the 48RE.

What advice do you all have for me?

From what I have seen so far, anything more than the 65hp you get with an EZ/TTPM will give you EGT problems with a stock turbo. The 48RE will take about 50hp more (~400rwhp) so says DTT.

I guess it comes down to what do you need. BTW, the EZ/TTPM has a money back guarantee... why not try it and see if it's enough for you?

What RPM does the EZ start making power? I want something that makes usable low end (below 2000 RPM) power. Any other ideas if the EZ doesn't do it?

Do you guys sell the EZ, if so how much?

My 2 cents

I would first bomb my 48RE. This is what I'm planning on doing. Call or get on DTT's website and determine what you need in a Auto upgrade. Then I would get the TST and turn it up till the EGT's tell me to turn it down. I don't want to get the cart before the horse. I also would hate to get the TST and not beable to turn it up. Just my opinion. I'm not affiliated with either company but strongly suggest reading the DTT website before buying.

I have an EDGE EZ with my 2003 HO 48RE, 3. 73 gears and 315 BFG's. . As for power... I run position "3" as I do not have gauges. . YET... Edge said that on "3" I should be OK but on "4" you really need gauges to watch.

On "3" from a standing start on dry pavement, stomp the go pedal and the truck takes off gets out 30 feet or so and then starts spinning the tires. This is with an empty bed and no cap. on "4" it spun the tires longer. 3 seems to be plenty of power for me... . for now and has the extra if I get bored..... :D

Do not know for sure, but I would guess about 60 HP increase. It says 40-70 HP and 4 settings makes me think 40 -50 -60 -70 Torque I believe was 150-220 ft lbs, so my guess is somewhere to the higher end... tried to get to Edge site, but puter moving too slow.....

DTT..

Installed DTT converter and valve body on my 03 @ 2K. Has more low end response due to better fluid coupling. Feels like more hp.

Can't wait to get a box for it, maybe some injectors too. :D

How much more will the 48RE hold with just a new valve body, and how much more with VB and converter?
