03 leaky injectors

Anyone have problems with the injectors leaking on their 03???? seaping fuel around the injectors.

Yes, and now about $500. 00 later they no longer leak. I thought it should have been covered under warrenty but the dealership insisted it was not. Something about o-rings needing to be replaced. I would need to get out the repair order to check all of the specifics right now because this all occured about 2 1/2 months ago. Have you had yours fixed yet?

500 bucks for new o-rings?? WOW, I don't see how the o-ring could go bad unless it's made out of poop!! The o-rings don't move around therefore they really shouldn't wear. Doing an entire injector swap shouldn't even be close to 500 in labor. First time I did mine it took 5hrs, second time it took 3. 5hrs. The o-rings don't look like they should be 50 bucks each, more like 3 to 5 dollars per. Dealers charging way too much for things that should be covered are the reason so many of their customers hide fueling boxes and other mods. I say more power to pulling fast ones on the dealer, they pull 'em on us at every opportunity.



Find a good non-dealer diesel shop near you and see what they will charge. You might also check to see if the injector hold down bolts are even tight. Could be that is the only problem. Let us know how it goes.

Are you talking about fuel leaking from around the injectors themselves under the cover? Or are you talking about the lines going into the cover? My lines leaked when I turned the ez up. I just tightened them up and it stopped (Which was common at that time with the ez especially). If you're talking about the injectors themselves, how did you know they were leaking?

Unless you're modifed and the dealer knows it, or you're over 100K miles, that should have been covered under warranty... I'd find a new dealer, quick. You might also call DC and try to get reimbursed... I would!
