03 lift pump died, FASS / Glacier Question

My lift pump just died at 67,000 miles. I'm looking to replace it with either a FASS or a Glacier pump. Which would be the easiest to replace the stock pump with? I've read that the lift pump is connected to the filter housing on the 03 model truck. Can I remove the lift pump and retain the stock fuel filter housing? Any thoughts? Thanks...

As I understand the Fass and Glacier pumps mount to the frame so you could leave your old lift pump on unless it would be in the way.

With a FASS -- Yes.



With the HPFP -- No.



The stock lift pumps are bolted on the back of the filter head on 03-04. 5 trucks. The pump needs to be removed for the HPFP connections. We supply an Adapter Block that takes the place of the stock pump for these applications. The FASS system bypasses around the stock filter head completely... so the stock pump could be left in place on those applications.
