Having an overheating problem after I repalced my fan clutch about a month ago. Already replaced thermostat about a year and half ago and the water pump about a year ago. Getting a P0480 and a p0483 codes also. I already know what the codes are because of Smarty and manual. Is there any kind of sensor that controls the fan clutch besides the fuse thats in the fuse box. I have already cleared the codes when first installed the fan clutch and now im getting the same codes again.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I am overheating and getting the codes both. Usually get to about 210 degrees and the conditions are usually in stop and go traffic, but when I start goin down the road it cools off where its suppose to be which is just below the 200 degree mark.

It's been awhile since I had problems like that, but, in both cases it was a failed fan clutch. As soon as you get moving there is enough air flow through the radiator & temps co back to normal.

You probably have a defective fan clutch. I replaced mine with genuine Mopar

52028879AF, cleared the codes, ran the engine at 2000 rpm for two minutes to ensure proper fluid distribution within the clutch drive.

always buy oem fan clutch... . the other stuff is junk... thats one thing you want to buy oem... ... . unfortunately it is expensive over the auto parts stores
