03 power window issues

My power window switches on all doors except the drivers door have quit working. They all work with the drivers side switch but the individual ones don't. I figured there was a problem with the lockout switch so I replaced the drivers side switches. That didnt fix it. Any suggestions on what to do now? thanks

Have you looked at the wiring in the bellows between the doors and body? seem to be a common place for the wires to get pinched and cut.

I had this exact same problem on my 03. It was intermittent, but usually didn't work. I ended up removing the driver side switches and unscrewed the entire assembly down the to circuit board. I don't know what I did, but when I put it back together it worked and I haven't had a problem since.

You thought it was the lockout switch, so you replaced the driver side switches? Why didn't you just replace the lockout switch?



I'm having the same problem... and I figure it's the lockout switch. Haven't bothered trying to fix it yet.

It's all one unit, thats why.



fullsack, that was the first thing I tried, but it didnt work for me. I will have a look at the wiring tomorrow

Hadn't noticed that! In that case, I'd probably try what Fullsack did.

My front passenger side window switch works when it wants to It works ok using the drivers control switch every time.

Same problem here. My thoughts were to change the passenger side since that is the door that won't work. I guess you all are saying that's not it, huh?

I think the contacts get dirty. Try a good disassemble and cleaning.
