Anyone having problems with electric seat controls? My 03 keeps blowing the 50 amp fuse. The wiring looks ok, Dealer just keeps replacing the fuse, it works o. k. for a minute, or a day, then out again! Any suggestions?
Thanx for the reply, it's going back to the dealer tuesday, and will stay there till they fix it! They provide me with a loaner, so it ain't soooo bad I plan to have them fix the infamous "driver's door panel rattle" while they have it.
By the way, I had Sirius Radio installed recently, it was the local dealer's first one (same dealer), the tech used my new UWS low profile BLACK tool box as a work platform to install the antenna!!! It now has a 1 inch sag in the middle. (Dealer ordered a new one for me ($291. 00) "Just another day in paradise!!!!!!"
What a bunch of knuckleheads at your dealership! Rule number 1 of electrical service: if a fuse blows, find out why and fix it BEFORE replacing the fuse.
You definitely have a problem there. The fuse shouldn't be blowing unless the motor is pulling too much current or there's an intermittent short somewhere.
