'03 Ram diesel RECALL

My sister works at a Dodge dealer and said they just issued a recall on ALL '03 diesel's. PCM related problem with autos and stick trucks. Anyone heard this?

When the 03's were first released I saw a couple with multiple fault codes,they turned out have moisture in the pcm connectors causing many codes to be set. This is the issue the recall addresses. There are o-rings placed on the pcm connectors to reduce the risk of moisture issues.

There is also another recall on trans cooler lines. The vehicles covered on this recall are by production dates.

I just got the call yesterday, I asked and he said it was to do with a transmission line. I saw a recall for the torque converter check valve so maybe that is it. I'll ask more questions on Monday when I take it in.

Just reading your post didn't do it , but reading ALL the other one's saying did it. :{

Just picked up some parts and asked the parts manager if he knew about any recall and he said it was for both 03 and 04 units with automatics and that a section of line is replaced and then the cooler is inspected for some kind of problem and replaced if needed. There may be more but he was really busy and kept getting calls.

First, I didn't realize there was so many TDR members from the Burgh. I was born and raised in Bethel... now I reside in Baltimore. When I was looking for my truck, I searched the Pittsburgh stock and could not find many, so I assumed not many were sold there.

XcumminsX, if you go to the DODGE. COM site and go to the owner section there is a place to check on recalls. You need the last 8 digits of your VIN for the lookup.
