2003 3500 six speed. Can be driving down road all of a sudden white sm oke goes everywhere truck sputters then backfires. have drained fuel canister and getting ready to change filter. Just installed in tank lift pump tuesday. These are the codes it is showing

P0839 Any help greatly appreciated Thought it may be bad fuel but my 2006 is running great and comes out of the same tank.

my driver picked up truck today from dealer and the air filter was faulty. not dirty but sucked up in intake hose. I have never heard of this but i guess it was just a cheap filter. I checked it when i bought it less than 1 week ago and it looked brand new, the guy i bought it from said he just had it replaced and filterminder said it was dirty but i remembered the faulty filterminder on my other 03 aand thought nothing of it
