I have the truck listed below with a 130,000 miles. I have been shopping it around to a few dealers.

Basically all I m being offered is $15k + or -. Only 40% of the original value of the truck.

The dealership with lowest priced truck offered the lowest trade in and the dealer with the higher priced truck offered the higher trade in. So basically a wash. I didn't expect to get $20k for the truck but according to Chrysler financial i haven't had to pay a note in 2 years. What have you guys been getting for 03's? Hell, I have paid extra to principle every month. :(

I have been shopping the wifes 03' 1500 quad cab around too. Perfect condition but 100k road miles. $10 to $12,ooo. is the best. I am trading it in for a small suv for her. Keeping my 95' CTD. Gas prices high and i only need 1 truck. I need the CTD , and would never be with out one. Thought I would do it now before gas goes any higher. They know they got ya when it is time to trade.

I want to trade it for another CTD. I just can't see keeping this one another 2 years. If it wasn't for the Cummins I would not be thinking DODGE again. The local 5 star isn't the greatest in service. The smaller dealers can't compete with his price or just chose not to. The next closest dealer doesn't even accept a credit card. I haven't had the ball joint, death wobble, or other common 03 problems. Just U-joints and the one time I had a death wobble tyoe experience the steering stabilizer fixed it.

But the whole cab area is a rattle trap. The dash sometimes sounds like it is coming apart!

Over a 100k and the value drops like a rock. Most all vehicles. 101k or 190k its worth about the same. Look them up on Black Book or any of the others. Couple of friends looking at new ones. One on his 3rd. Same deal because of mileage. Their trucks still drive and feel like they have 30k on them. Now retail is several thousands higher.

Drive it until it's junk!!!!

I thave thought about this! Next Year I will be looking at a transmission when i hit 200,000 miles. So, then I will have a truck note and transmission note on a 4 year old truck! Thought I would trade it in while it had some value!

How long of a loan did you take out on this truck? If you are paying extra and are already two years ahead, you should be paid off within the next 6 to 9 months.

Pay it off then trade it if you still don't want it.
