any one had any problems with the powermax's. ive got one on an 03 dodge, that skips sometimes (not always) when turned up passed level 1. ive sent it to tst to have it checked out. they cant find anything wrong with the powermax. and dodge cant find anything wrong with the truck. any suggestion?

I also have fass fuel, and 60hp injectors. it has 20psi. even when its doin this skipping

First off. . welcome!! define this "skipping" a bit better if possible, and fill in your sig so we know what you have there!

well its a steady skipp like a bad injector or its not give the extra fuel to just one or two cylinders. ive checked fuel pressure its up around 20-25 psi. rail pressure hitin up around 24,000psi. when it doin the skipping. ive takein the injector to a local diesel injection shop they check out good, and it never gives any trouble when the powermax is turned down or off.

Have you gotten any codes with the skips? I have an 03 SO with TST and started getting a code--I don't remember which one. They sent me a new harness because they had some problems with some of the early ones.

no, its not throwing any codes up. and they've already sent me a new injector harness when they checked the box out.

Mine will occasionally through a boost code and cause a defuel at 1900 rpm. I know you said that there are no codes, but mine through codes without the check engine lighting up.

Mine does the exact same thing. Usually happens only in the morning when the temps are below 60 and it's the first start of the day.

No codes, and it's been on for almost 50K miles now. No problems with it at all other than the miss once in while.

that symptom had bad wiring harness' written all over it...

Mine would stumble and recover - sometimes a check engine light, most not though...

2 new harness' and its all good...

I dont know if the timeing sensor harness would cause this, but tst sent me a new injector harness for it. unless its bad to.

Mine has done this for along time. At around 1100rpms, as mentioned, the truck will stumble. Sometimes the check engine light comes on, other times it doesnt. I have just accepted it. I have swapped harnesses in the past with no difference.

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

I am having issues with my TST also, but I am not having the stumble, It just feels to me that I am not getting as much if any power from the TST.

have you taken the coverplate off the TST and looked at the cylinder LEDs while it is running? I did this on mine and there is a noticeable different in intensity(brightness) from cylinder to cylinder and I don't know if this is normal. I don't know if this will help but it might?

I'm also in the light stumble crowd, has done it for a long time now, as they have made better harnesses the stumble isn't near as bad as it use to be. I believe alot of the misses and spit and sputters on the first cranks of the day is computer related, whether it be programming or the computer trying to set the specifics due to air temps, pressure, etc. After it warms up all this goes away, strange.

My TST R49 does the stutter also. The programing will change on its own. I have the power at 3 and sometimes it will be at 8 when I start it up. It's set on "standard" program, but occasionally it will change to a "set" screen. I've had the rail pressure jump from 2 to 8 by itself. I sent it in and TST reflashed it. They said to disconnect the control and run it for a few weeks and plug it back in to see if it changed. I'm afraid one day I'll floor it and... BOOM!!! goes my transmission. I don't like the fact I have to use my truck as a guinea pig. I'm sure TST is a great product. I love the power and the customer service is great. Hopefully we can get these boxes figured out.

i have had the 1100 rpm studder and tst said it was common on the older boxes. i do like the power with my stack but most of the time it will make my tri dog go limp...
