after driving in snow for 2days i parked overnight at about a 15deg. going up. the next morning i make it about 20 feet and then stall. coast back down to my drive way and look at the air minder. it's pegged in the red. check the air filter and it's fine. reset the air minder and idle the engine at about 2200 and hear a pop. go and look under the hood, engine running good now and notice that the air box seal has opened at the fender and the box has moved slightly towards the center of the truck. i guess the intake tubing in the fender froze solid and spooling it imploded the air box seal.

so soon i'll go back to the dealer to give them grief about the crappy paint and the oil leaks they didn't fix, and the rear brake light gasket on the tail gate the left rear door seal, the dually fenders that arn't bolted on evenly and the tail lights that are starting to separate and open from the edges from freezing.

the positive is that its starting to break in and the ride is much better.

trying hard to be happy!

matt, the engine leaks oil around the oil filter adapter plate and the oil pan. the oil pan was bent and warped when the truck was assembled. if you look at the front of the oil pan there are two holes on the engine block for the assembly and lifting the engine into the truck. well my friday robot overshot and missed the hole and ended up smashing the oil pan's lip. the dealer said they would tighten it up and see if that stoped the leak.

so i got to get back at them about this stuff.

also i need to write dx about the thin paint because the dealer wants to patch the paint or not fix it, they won't paint it and the won't send a rep to look at it. so i have till May to be in with the lemon laws.

thanks

Wow!

Yeah, it really sounds like yours was made on a Friday afternoon by a defunct robot/disgruntled worker.

Your dealer sounds like they are trying to get out of this whole thing without lifting a finger... . I'd take it somewhere else.

There have been plenty of folks on here getting repainted trucks or new trucks because the paint was bad... I thought Chrysler learned from their mistakes since the mid-80's - early-90's when they had so many problems with the paint.

By the way, what color is your truck? Maybe I should avoid that color...
