Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting '04 2500 starts cold on high idle

My truck might sit in the unheated garage for a week in 30 degree weather (MT) and when I start it, it immediately goes to high idle which does not seem right. Anybody out there with the same experience and/or thoughts on preventing it?

Yes, mine does this as well. The only diference is mine usually doesn't do it unless it's around 15 outside. Anyway, it's normal. One of the things the Cummins engineers put in the ECM.
