04 305hp with 130,000 miles hard starting first time of the day.

Turns over maybe 25 times before starting first time of the day then all other starts that day are normal. I change fuel filter and it helped for about 2 weeks then started hard again. I am wondering if it could be the supply pump. Does any one have any ideas? Power is fine runs great when running.

Could be the lift pump. Has it ever been replaced? Can you turn the key on and hear it run for 20 seconds (or even continuously - both are ok)?
That's a lot of miles for the canister mounted LP.

If lift pump OK probably injector(s) .

I would test fuel supply but most likely its got high injector return.
